Potato cutlets easy russian food
Potato patties is a sort of classic cooking skills, which (I think), I do very, very bad. But why I never did it "on camera" is a mystery. So today I will try to correct this unfortunate misunderstanding, and to prepare potato cutlets easy russian food, considering and writing about every little thing.
So to cook easy russian food potato cutlets, we need:
• potatoes, any variety, not young and juicy, about a pound,
• one egg (if small, it is possible add two, it will not be worse),
• vegetable oil, for cooking onions and frying of the potato cutlets,
• and water. That's all, so let's get started.
First peel, cut (cooked faster), and put on to cook potatoes. Without covering with a lid and reducing the heat so that the vegetable is not absorbed the liquid and be left with most (as far as possible) dry. Just 20 minutes after boiling, and in any case, do not salt it.
And in the meantime onion. Peel it and finely chop.
In a pan pour a little vegetable oil and put it on the fire to warm up. Just put the onions into the hot oil and over high heat, stirring constantly, cook three to five minutes.
The potato is ready. Remove the excess water, add salt, and thoroughly, leaving no lumps and at least some fragments, mash it. Leave to cool down to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
Now add egg and again mix well. The basis for future potato cutlets is ready.
Again in the frying pan pour vegetable oil and again put it on the fire.
With wet hands roll small (a table spoon with a hill – just a perfect scoop), the ball, rolled it in bread crumbs, and form cutlets,
and put in the pan. Also do the rest with potato patties, which you should have for two pans.
After five minutes (cook on low heat without covering the lid), turn them and cook the same amount.
